Spoke to John for a further update. Things are almost complete. John is trying to fix a few niggles with the cooling and trying to get the Predator to achieve what he needs... Not sure this is going to happen.
The brake setup has been modified to give more pedal leverage. Will have to decide if this is good enough, or end up changing to different calipers/discs to give the required result.
John is still playing around with the mapping but will have to stop playing soon enough. The blower is developing 0.5bar at 3krpm, rising sharply to just over 1bar at 4krpm. This is giving instant wheelspin, which isn't ideal. Best power estimate is currently 270bhp @ wheels.
The car should be ready within the next few days to 2weeks... Depending on the cooling and brake quandaries...

I don't think it will make trax, but you never know.
Bumpers are budged so far and it's not insured or mot'd. Doubt I will be able to afford that after paying Johns bill, lmao.
We will have to wait and see...

Another update from John... He's been figuring out why the boost isn't building as quickly as designed. Seems the intercooler is restricting flow. Without the intercooler it's building 0.2bar extra through the range and building boost quicker.
An intercooler redesign is a bit of a pain in the ass at this late stage, so have asked John to finish the build as it is. Means I will end up custom building a new cooler at some stage... Not sure if the Predator will then dynamically adjust to extra boost through range and quicker rise... or not? A project for after I get the car home I guess

Yeah, it's annoying that the build could release more power, but its probably for the best. The transmission will already be on it's arse lol.
I think johns modified some of my boost pipes and stuff, so will have them re-custom made when I get it back
Looking forward to sorting all of the wiring and stuff in the bay and tidying it all up now the servo has been junked.

Yeah, I was 'only' aiming for 250@wheels, which seems to be in the bag!
I need to get it back now and tidy things up. Hopefully have it all fettled before the snow returns. Lol... I started ripping it apart in the snow and no doubt will still be at it this winter

Just spoke to John... My cars ready for collection any day next week. Fortunately I have a week booked off work, so I can feel a road trip coming up after TRAX.
