You still got the vtr Jon?
Get those AXs finished
No idea what rate AX H&Rs are, they seemed alright though.
Made plenty more progress, let citroen bend me over for a pile of parts earlier.
Car has run out of fuel now on my driveway lol

Went for PSF gravels mate. No point having tarmacs as without coilovers i can't get the right springs for them to give a decent ride height. And TBH i see no need to go harder on springs than i currently have gone for, and sandys findings back this up too.

Lewes tunnel ftw. I'll be test driving it next week hopefully. I will take you out
I've actually got 13 days off before the ring, but i don't wanna leave it to the last minute, i wanna get it on the road and iron out any niggles, change anything else i think needs changing etc.

Yeah best to fine tune it so almost everything is spot on for the trip.
Not starting to get envious of your car at all now
Cant wait to hear those maxi trumpets in all their sexualness...
Lewes tunnel would be awesome!

I was thinking about going for the tarmacs, but I have been told the grp n bilies will work to around 250lb, so thats what I have bought. I've got the coilover conversion kit as well so thankfully thats not going to be too much of a problem.
Why do you think PSF ran tarmac spec stuff on a rallycar if its too hard for a track car? I do agree that you will loose feel the stiffer you go though.

I prefer stiffer setups personally, but with mine being a road car, and there being some mentalist roads around here, i'll stick with what i've gone for.
And personally i'd not use grpNs with over 200lb springs, they seemed slightly underdamped with 200lb, and about right with 180lb.

Fuel system totally redone; Main lines from rear seats to engine bay replaced with new OE ones that use quick release connectors. Engine bay hoses replaced with new hose and cut to correct length with new clips. New return from main lines to pump, new plastic citroen filter and my spare supply lines from pump to filter and filter to main lines. Also redid the breather system too, ian had cut one of the pipes for no reason i can see. And binned the charcoal canister, wiring for it, and most of it's piping too, few more kilos shed, lot less fuel smell inside!
Was:
Now(there is a clip on the return now too :
And i cleaned the rear arches while i was at it, thought why not. One example:
I also removed all of the carpet etc from inside the boot and prepped the interior for spraying.

So anyway i'm off work for a week now, means i better get my arse in gear and get the car on the road again!
Tuesday i'm lowering some mincers chavwagon, thursday i'm helping pinkbullet, the rest of the week it'll probably rain
To do this week:
Engine running(seems to be sorted and far better than ever before, can't verify without long road test) No progress, out of fuel now
Get new ecu coolant temp sensor(tested compared to my mates 106 gti one and it's being tempramental, it's the original vtr one...) and recalibrate with ecu - MONDAY
Exhaust gaskets - MONDAY
VTS crank pulley & relocate alternator - bought from gabbastard waiting for. Still waiting for pulleys from gaybastard, moved alternator
Wire up oil temp gauge. More or less done - MONDAY
Wiring to ecu needs final tidy up. more or less done - MONDAY
Windscreen needs replacing - Call guy monday.
Lighten carbon bonnet and fit, buy and fit bonnet pins for it. - When ryan gets his arse into gear.
Whore engine bay and interior - WEEKEND
Fit 22mm bars - WEDNESDAY
Fit grpN rear dampers - WEDNESDAY
Fit grpA front dampers - WEDNESDAY
Fit faulkners - WEDNESDAY
Weld cage reinforcement
Play with my trousersnake, every day.
Think that's it
