i need an off shoe cord for my flashgun, been meaning to get one for about a year now lol!! need that and shutter release cord.
im about thur i think for physio.
so fucking tempted to go buy a 500mm prime

no the shoe cord is a must for nightclub work... Its alright when I've been shooting portrait and stuff...
 
but to recreate the same shadows and shit for landscape its gotta be held out... for instance on this, would have been much nicer coming from the side ...
£35 in jessops for a fockin cord 60cm

how is it? if you use your flashgun correctly you dont need to have the flash anywhere but on the hotshoe. its only for some effects where you may want a cord to have a slightly different perspective. Skin tones are perfectly fine 95% of the time head on and most the time in a club you are not against a wall so you dont get nasty shadows.

This lad is at my uni, met him on thursday at our photography society... he slated just about my entire gear and photography style but to be fair... his shots were focking amazing so I can take it. Best I'd seen ever for nightclub.
Uses a 350D and an L lens of some sort with either a remote transmitter or shoe cord... I'll see if he sends me the pics again

it doesnt make it a must though adam. A must is something that you need to be able to take a photo. Some clubs also require certain types of shots so you cant say shot for all situations. My brief for my old club was different to briefs ive had at different events, some you can be more creative and others you are limited.
