How do you know its running fine?

It could be under fueling madly and you wouldnt notice

well i cant be sure but its responsive, and power is good, shaved 2 seconds off my 0-60 (not bragging, just seems as though it must be running ok to do that)

not at all, could be running rich or very lean and you jsut wont know.

remap will cost £500 ish, a vtr ecu will cost £40

go figure

ye but I'm camming it soon anyway, in which case id need a remap whatever, so im thinking if it can last a few weeks until its cammed, it will be fine?? Im not an idiot i know its cheaper to get an ecu, but if im mapping anyway may aswell save myself £40??

I'd reccomend using a 100% for modification.

Why use an engine your not sure about.

If you buy yourself a VTR ECU, you can be a lot more sure about the way the engine is running before you make it product more power.
