I think its convenient that your brother uses the exact same stuff as MK2SLAG. I think you need to properly list the products used, personally I wouldn't let anyone clean my car with Megs Gold Class because I can pop to Halfords and buy it, or get Tesco Pink/Tesco Daisy cleaner which is the same thing.
There's no comment on what tools you will use - I hope if he gets a PW he won't stand so close to the car as he will ruin the seals on windows standing that close. Also - if you're going to seal wheels I'd get a jack and trolley stand..then you can cover the inside/outside front/rear of the alloy properly. Does he use a grit guard?
I agree that the price is far too high - especially when you can get the Polish to do the same job for half the price.
Nice idea, good luck to him but to be honest I don't see *why* people will spend that much on what looks like an average job. Plenty of room for improvement before you advertise locally mate! Also, I wouldn't let a 17 year old loose on my car - especially not for £80. Sounds like a scam or get rich scheme by some kid who wants a games console or something - as I said, make some adjustements and be careful how its advertised.

rep for that,i have to agree there with you mate,im not 100% by a long shot, the cars are markless, shiney, smelling good, and every last bit gone over cleaned sealed waxed etc,but if i charged anymore id feel like im robbing people, also im looking at around 80-100 for my first paint correction maybe not even that expensive as it wil be my first,so yeh £80 for an average job fook that!!

First things first.....Yes he is 17, he has a well paid job and enjoys detailing in his spare time (not for peanuts tho). It is in no way shape or form a scam!!! He hates games consoles!!lol When he comes home from work i'll get him to list all the products and equipment for you Yes he does use grit guards and yes he does have a Power washer and doesn't stand too close.
He takes pride in his work and i know he'd do the job properly!!

I dont get what the big deal is?!
If his bro wants to charge that then its fine, whether or not he gets the clients isn't really everyones problem is it.
Leave the guy alone.

Was just posting something regarding the post about £3.33 an hour - then thought I'd see what other people have said. For every car you clean you're making free money - no tax, national insurance, bills for land/water usage etc. To complain about it only being £3.33 an hour is a joke; it's not about making money - if money is the only reason your brother is doing this he best find a new hobby.

Thanks I was only asking if anyone wanted it doing!! It didn't have to get personal and it's nice to know that there are people who respect the fact that that's what he charges. He's had a good few happy customers already and he's happy with that!!
