Euro when done well looks extremely good. But as mentioned it's the half arsed attemts that drag the scene down.
I would love to make a proper Euro saxo but could never afford to

TBH its probably the half arsed attempts that have made me start this thread, I used to love the euro scene.

I'd say its definately that reason why you started the thread, because as much as you are sick of 'euro' if you seen a large amount of properly 'euro'd' cars on here i'd imagine you would still love the scene.

The Euro scene has probably the largest following of members of any scene and has done so for a long time.
It should be renamed "dub" though as only the Germans seem to be able to pull it off properly and consistently

Same as any genre really.
Euro when done properly is awesome. The attention to detail on the cars is immense. However, too many noobs who stick any old shite set of semi dished wheels and lower 60mm and class that as euro'd is spoiling it.
But then the same happened with track cars - take back seats out and stick a show cage in = not a track car.
Before that was the kitted cars. Stick the cheapest worst fitting bumper and spoiler on and you have a show car. I think not.
In summary, any car/style done well looks awesome. But as with everything, popularity kind of spoils it for a while

It's just circle that everyone does to be honest.
Standard Saxo > Bodykit Saxo > Euro Saxo > Track Saxo > Subtle Saxo.
It will keep going round...

Well sumarised to be fair! At the end of the day, half arsed attempts at 'scenes' are always going to occur as not everybody as shit loads of money to throw into a car and as a result make do with what they can afford. Its up to them whether they openly admit they are having an attempt at a style on a budget or just necessarily dont understand whats involved in the so called scene they are imitating.

I think Craigs kinda summed it up pretty good.
When done 'properly' the 'Euro' theme does look awesome
But at the same time in terms of looks alone Euro is unquestionably i think the most expensive to do
So even though theres a hell of alot of cars which may appear to be half arsed theres a fine line between being just that, and then actually being new to it, using trial and error with new stuff that may or not work and then actually starting to develop it
Not all of the ones which look half arsed now should be written off as im pretty sure if the person is willing to see the project through then there will be some awesome results
.................................................. .......................
In terms of these different styles etc i have absolutely no preference,
For me its the attention to detail that counts in order to be able to appreciate a car whatever style it is whether its 'subtle', 'track' or 'euro'
Thats what progress threads are for, the people who put the most time and effort THEMSELVES into their cars usually get the best out of it
Its all about having a go, enjoying it, and learning something along the way

Tbf, a slightly lowered car, nice set of wheels with low profiles and a nice exhaust is all i'd go for in the future. I'm not a big fan of 'Look at me'

Not really... I'd rather drive a really good looking slow car than a fugly fast car. It's all down to opinion really mate.
I like real euro cars which have been done properly. Too many people that think smoothed fogs + bbs rims = euro.
