All back from Zante now after a "Banging " holiday, got paid yesterday and had a little rise so i went a bit mad today lol i brought a supersprint 2" race exhaust, 266mm gti calipers, pads, discs and braided hoses, a raceland induction and tomorro im going to pick up some rallye steels with brand new proxies on them (should hopefully all be here some time next week and will get fitted on the weekend.
so anyway today at lunch i decided to service the car, so i did the valve clearences (new rocker gasket), fuel filter, oil filter, thermostat and all sparkplugs, so now its running nice and sweet.

All from motor spares for £40

adjusting the valve clearences, (so easy ) 0.20mm inlet 0.40mm exhaust

These are the Rallye steels im getting (love the look of them)

Well next update will be when im fitting everything, next month will be ordering new apex suspension all round and going over some new plans

as always comments welcome

So picked up the Rallye steels today, think i got an absolute bargain on them, wheels are near enough mint and brand new proxie cf1's which have never seen the road
Anyways pictures:

Wanted to go and show them off tonight but because the thread on my vtr wheel bolts is about 2mm too short (dont know why as bloke who had them before said his MK1 VTR bolts fit fine, maybe MK2 are different???) i currently cant use it and cba to change wheels back.
Enough of me monaing get all my stuff next week so looking forward to fitting it

I don't normally like steels, but they actually look quite smart...

Works really nicely on the black car.

yeah im not a fan of steels but these are the only ones i like and have had my heart on them for ages, only thing im not happy about is the ride height at front its just a bit heigher, but next month gonna hopefully order apex suspension kit with a 50mm drop at the front.

Thank you, and your feeling exactly the same as when I first saw these wheels. I dunno why but these steels look really good IMO
