+1 don't think its right being a snitch and involve yourself, sounds like a total cuntish thing to do to be honest, like if someone reported me for having my car on the road parked up not driven but not insured.

he's not really a risk on the road though? because he's got a drinking driving offence hes going to drink drive again? what broken logic is that, he could of been in rehab for all you know.

Fair point but not declaring a DD conviction is so easily found out - one flick through the records and you're done for. Not worth the risk IMO.

well if he isnt saying it on his insurance, chances are he proberbly will do it again. I dont care how much of a cuntish thing it is to do, i wouldnt want him driving behind me. if he hadnt told them about a point or two he might have had on his licence, or not told them he wasnt parking on his drive way it would be different but its a drink driver .... i would tell them. if i knew i was lying to my insurance company then got caught out coz someone told them i wouldnt be supprised one bit

fair enough i can see why people wouldnt. yeah hes probs got a problem and yeah he might ahve gone to rehab, but if that is the case and he was trying to turn himself around, lying to his insurance company isnt the best start

So say you report him and he gets a fine, can't pay insurance at all so says fuck it altogether... Then hits your child. I fail to see where you will gain at all.

but to say he will do it again is so judgemental of you. i have previously been convicted of drink driving when i was 16, years ago and i have never drunk drove again since
some people actually learn from there mistakes that have been made. we were all young once

how do you know that he has not claimed his offence??

Wouldn't go out my way to report someone find it pretty sad, who has the time or effort. Most insurance covers you if your hit bye an uninsured driver anyway.

obviously people do learn... but if i had learnt from not that mistake, i wouldnt go and lie to my insurance company and risk getting into more trouble

From the website http://ownvehicle.askmid.com/ where it has shown up as not insured for over a few months. And him openly saying to a friend he cancelled his insurance as he couldn't afford it right now. So no it's not just rumours.

Nothing about being smug when the person lives locally, has been in crashes from driving like a dick. Could easily drive into you or one of your mates which could be an expensive pay out.

I wouldn't say anything referring to that thread and this thread. Next sentence, the bit about how would you know is only referring to this thread. I read the no insurance thread etc. but does that website tell you everything a person has or hasn't declared? I haven't used it.

If he has a policy of insurance, it will ALWAYS pay out third party, regardless of lies, non declarations, or whatever.

If fraud is later found, the insurance company will attempt to recoup all losses through the courts, and good luck ever getting insurance again.

And everyone going on about what if he hits your car

Simple fact is the company he's with HAS to pay you out then chase the costs from the other side, no if's or buts, that's the law
