They do oil by design though, the reason they bang their tits off is their map.
Because they fire on every rotation, and run up to near 9K they run rich as hell to stop them melting the cat. Mazda even put an 'air pump' in simply to pump air into the exhaust lol On a standard map they cut the spark at 9k and let an impressive fart out the back.
My 106 GTI has an air pump.

I have racecar now?

In fact, here's a standard 16V. I'm tapping the throttle.

It's all in the set up, mines soft cut at 2500 hard at 3500 retard to 1degree and cut fuel and spark 9 events from 15 gives a very clean 3500 rpm launch..

Why would launch control make pops and bangs? Are you thinking of anti lag?

noob or trollin?

It cuts the spark so the revs stay at eg 3k whilst your right foot is buried.

Cut spark + full throttle + hot exhaust = boom.

Apparently noob. I thought it just held the revs at a certain point, didn't know it did it by effectively cutting out.

Either way I would rather have anti lag.

Yes they are.

I've still got a cat and both silencers.

Not always, and the exhaust doesn't have to be hot. the excess fuel (now sitting in the exhaust due to the spark cut) which provides the pops is primarily ignited by flames coming past the valves.

Proper rev limiters cut the fuel or retard the timing. cutting the fuel is hard cut and retarding is soft cut.

I made a soft cut for my 1.5D once, hilarious.

Yes, you are noob. anti lag is for turbo charged cars not spaxos.

If you have an electronic TB, you could set it up to hold revs lower through the ECU. but I don't think it would be as effective.

Why would I go to McDonalds to rev my car?

If I did want to be part, why would I take a lowered car which is OEM.

noob

Clearly, you don't rate my car as being able to pop, you must be part of their crue, only official McDonalds car park members can give ratings out.
