Spent yesterday slaving my arse off under someone elses car, it had been std from new(8 years ago) Fitted big torsion bars, grpN rear billies, custom front springs, grpN front billies, new droplinks, new braided hoses and 266mm front brakes, nice transformation in a day, and he's well chuffed naturally.
Now for peugeot sport to send my fucking dampers

VTS pulleys - now here, need to fit
Fit harness inner eye bolts - Need to buy 11mm drill bit and M11 nuts.
Lighten carbon bonnet, order & fit bonnet catches for it. - When ryan gets his arse into gear.
Whore engine bay and interior - WEEKEND
Fit 22mm bars - Thursday
Fit grpN rear dampers - Thursday
Fit grpA front dampers - Thursday
Fit faulkners - Thursday
Weld cage reinforcement
At the moment there's actually not much more i can do, gonna go to work and get some bits to help me on my way, will get some M12 eye bolts as for some reason the ones supplied are M11 or some dodgy imperial thread, which i have no nuts for and no 11mm drill bits. And i need a 9 way subd m-m gender changer to allow me to connect the craptop to the ecu so i can play.
Finished the cooling system, now it is a standard vts alloy rad, 82deg stat, new vts coolant temp sensor, front mount fan with override switch, coolant temp readout on gauge now working, bled with mobil advanced coolant and bled with header tank. Also the mocal oil cooler with thermostatic take off plate and oil temp wired to vts gauges.

Notice a difference?
It now clears the whole screen too I believe i am the first person on here or ssc to do the conversion, and it was quite a mission!!!
My new springs, too short for bilstein grpNs, and too hard too

looks like he's removed one of the arms and also shortened one of the linkages to give a full stroke from the centre wiper out of one rotation of the wiper motor, or one stoke from tow rotations.

It's not finished yet, obviously i'll make it look a lot tidier. And i won't go into detail on how to get it to fit, cos it's damn complicated.
I'm gonna smooth around all the grinding edges, take more scuttle off, maybe all of it and clean up the mounting brackets, clean the whole area and give it some paint so it looks all neat...

The springs are 235mm long, so very small yes, standard springs are over 350mm long, not to mention these are over twice the lb rating of standard springs
Danny it didn't take too long to work out roughly where it went, but then it got complicated, on the donor car it bolts to the metal lip under the windscreen and sits under that, but on the saxo it's much smaller, then there was a big metal partition thing in the middle of the scuttle that i had to fuck off, then where it meets the scuttle on the right hand side has some dodgy angled bit sticking out on the saxo, whereas on the donor car the scuttle was flat, and had a thread built into it, so i had to get the grinder on the wiper mech. Then when i fitted it finally the bonnet wouldn't shut, the wiper arm was sitting about 10mm too high, and the motor hits the shell before it gets any lower, so i had to jig it about some more. But now i have a true single wiper conversion with the correct motor. And the wiring was plug & play, bonus. I also discovered all 5 wires are lives, and it earths through where it's bolted to the shell, how confusing
Gave me the chance to hack some more scuttle off anyway, and neaten it up which is what i wanted to do. Now air flow to the bodies is far better, and the wiper works properly, and doesn't park 1/3 of the way up the screen.
rock out cock out etc...

good stuff, didnt realise you taken it off a different car.
sandy keeps banging on about cutting scuttle helps a vast amount so it cant be a bad thing, also you should expirience a bit more of that harmony that is itb's lol. should sound f**king great.

It does, received my 2 vts crank pulleys so it can now charge itself instead of me having to put the big charger on it every few days lol
The scuttle was already cut but only up to close to the partition, which left one of the trumpets part covered by scuttle, so i just chopped a load more off
Thinking about it, on the rolling road it had the plastic cover on the scuttle and there won't have been any cool air getting to the bodies, just engine bay air, now it'll be getting fresh air from above the bonnet, due to the low pressure zone created behind the bonnet, or at least a much lower temp charge than before, should free up a few ponies, and make it noisier for bystanders
in fact i could drive it now if i wanted.
gauges that i got off a guy on here gave up, borrowed ryans mk2 vts gauges, all of my temp stuff works, as do the gauges.
in fact all the major stuff is done, just the suspension, bonnet, interior and cleaning to do now.

Its getting tight now Alice! 235mm springs must be on their limit at staying in the seat? Modifications look good though mate. I never had you down as a carbon bonnet man though.
Are they KMS bodies on your motor, or are the proper pugsport ones? I can't remember its been that long.

fitted some 240s on wednesday and i could move the springs about by hand but they weren't unseating, 235s are close, but i needed them as short as poss without helper springs, gotta live life on the edge
They're pugsport bodies.

i don't understand why you did?
i had this motor and arm spare anyway, cost me the price of a grinding disc and a few nuts and bolts, instead of trawling through foreign ebays then having to make & weld brackets for a lhd mechanism. and a lhd mech wouldn't work single wiper properly, more drag and weight with twin lhd setup

lol more drag my arse, there'll be nigh on fuck all created with the double LHD
i dont see why you've gone to all the hassle of doing that, bodging it when you've spent fuck loads on carbon, and a double wiper would have cost you 40 delivered lol

It's not bodged you cunt it works perfectly well. and how would i bolt the lhd wiper to non existant brackets? It actually only took me an hour to fit it. And i didn't get the carbon for the bling factor, i got it to be light.
