Also considering doing some seam/stitch welds in the interior before it goes into paint?!

considering you broke your last car because you were fed up with working on it and not driving it then you got this car as it was ready then pulled it to bits seems pointless to me

Broke the Saxo for many other reasons..... It wasn't what I wanted in a car anymore as a project
I enjoy working on the 106 and thats what matters for me so your comment seems pointless to me really

looks good mate, what gas mix did you go for?
seam welding wise its alright but you will have to reseal/paint under side. also is its pure track not really as needed like if was a rally car,

Have now re-fitted engine loom after tidying it up, also re-located battery to the rear. Making up battery cables from front to rear, however after refitting everything I seem to have no power, this is the way I've done it. Can anyone point out what's wrong?
Main cable, from battery to starter
Then a cable from starter to alternator
Cable from starter to fuse box
Cable from battery to earth
Also its a rally design light weight battery bought new but been standing for a few months, so I'm charging it overnight. As far as I'm aware I've connected all plugs on loom, and in the fuse box.
Anyone have any ideas as to what's wrong or what I've done wrong?

There is an earth onto the gearbox, by the reverse switch, is that what you mean?

Where does that earth usually go? Is it on the passenger side wing?

Still having isues! anyone any ideas after this lot?
have now added an earth from the gearbox to the chassis, and tested the battery which is apparently fine?!
few queries that i may have got wrong?!
there are two threaded fitting on the starter motor..... a large with a 13mm nut and a smaller thread with an 8mm nut.
i have put the lines from battery to starter, starter to alternator, and starter to fuse box all on the larger thread with the 13mm nut. IS THIS CORRECT?
then the only fitting on the 8mm nut is the original connector from the loom......
there are a few plugs which i also havent got plugged in, brown plug next to the inertia switch? And this 2 pin plug close to the inertia also see here.....

Really? I thought it was the other way round?
May be my fuel pump relay then?! As the 15amp fuse is ok, what else could it be if the pump doesn't prime?

Brown plug should go into some sort of relay. See just to the left of the fusebox -
