Understand all that, but for all the effort of putting a vtec into a saxo to put a low bhp (compared to some of the range) in it seems a massive job for very little gains, could put a 16v and tb in get more power ALOT better noise (imo) and save so so so much hassle

i quit my job, so no money atm, but im not saying i want to do this NOW, eventually yeh, but not now, im happy with whats been done to it atm 
i personally love the vtec purr lol 
and i can see what youre saying about the higher power, honda engines arnt cheap, and most have pretty high mileage. mine doesnt and ive already got it here, and its out the car i got for my 18th so its just a sentimental thing

ive only got the mango on the road, i dont drive about unless its to bens, so thats my only petrol cost and on multicar so my dad pays my insurance, i payed my half untill last month when i quit my job though.

Well yes is the answer, and most of us on this site spend a few thousand on insurance, me at the minute £2000 a year, but we don't all have our dads to pay it for us
