keep an eye on it.. and your oil level, that does look quite excessive...but looks to clear from idle as you rev it..but still chuff out when its revving
EDIT_ hw long has it been like that? how many times you drovbe it and this has happened?

might just be oil in the system/turbo/engine from fucking about mate
if it clears hey ho...if not youve got another engine there..but still check make sure its not the turbo
as it probs got more chance of being that than anything else imo..doent need to have play to have a dodgey seal

If its been sat for a while, then id suggest the stem seals are failing, this happened to mine m8,
If u take the manifold off and look at the valve stems them selves, if there wet with oil theres ur answer. Just an idea m8

This was my original way of thinking....
Did you just replace your stem seals? I'm thinking I may just fit a new head, maybe a new engine.

i agree with valve stem seals.
defo not the turbo as it would constantly smoke on idle. seems clear untill you rev it up.
it might clear up after a while. mine did.

yea mine was stood for ages.
i just took it for a decent drive and the smoke vanished.
saying that though, it would smoke if the cold side oil seal had failed. upon revs.
remove the boost pipe from the intercooler leading up to the throttle body, look for any oil deposits inside the pipe. if there's none you can rule the turbo out.

Yes it has been started whilst stationary and not really warmed up. But the oil is new, didn't change the filter though??
Think I'll just run it now and see if it clears
New daily drive now too.... Pics tomorrow

RALLY DESIGN COILOVERS TOP MOUNT QUERY:
this is a picture of how my topmount meets my top hat of the rally design coilover spring setup:
My query is, is this the correct way to fit the topmount onto the spring top hat? you can just see the compbrake gold fitting which sits on top of the top hat......
i only ask as when i roadtest the car the steering seems to be very poor and almost 'wanders freely' in a way. it may be that because i have fitted new suspension all round, new track rod ends etc that the tracking needs a big adjustment?!

i havent a clue on the assembly of the topmounts, so i cant help you there.
about the tracking, id get it booked into a garage for the tracking to be sorted as they use machines to make it perfect. defo worth it after all the upgrades you have done.
i fitted track rod ends before, and had the tracking checked. i was way out, they had to adjust it.
