1.1 gearbox should be better for acceleration though better than 1.6 vtr gearbox

I put a 1.1 box on my vtr, I've probably only done 1500 miles on it so far, got it brand new. It's taking abuse so far at Bedford and brands, screaming to 7k. Like has been said I used the vtr shafts with no prob, I would also recommend nothing but a Valeo clutch, had heavy dutys and there realy is no need unless you want a beefy left leg. I'm using a billet flywheel with Valeo vtr clutch and the 1.1 box. The vtr box is still lurking just incase as although it was a brand new box I'm not expecting it to last forever, 120 on dials (prob 110)at 7k rpm in 5th, makes for a more exciting drive and suits the trackdays

What's been done to the vtr so it revs to 7k?

Limit was raised when I had the standard ecu remapped, running piper ultimate road/race-285, head had a good service and clean up, light weight pulleys, supersprint mani, saxsport, breathing mods, 4bar reg, made 118hp last time. Have since have added the s1 inlet, sounds lovely

So the vtr shafts were fine on the 1.1 gearbox I didn't want to fit the box to find the driveshafts didn't fit
