I only really want to spend £120-140 up front (money will be tight once the car has had bodywork & exhaust sorted out - insurance and MOT on horizon)
The sub can wait till later on so i'll be able to give a budget for that when i'm ready to go ahead with that.

Any links for suitable centre sections (cat-back) and potentially backboxes as well. Naturally, my bumper hasn't go the groove out of it like the vt bumpers and im not really looking to cut it either. (personally like oval tips)

what kind of money are you thinking about spending on a exhaust, are you wanting a full system or just back box

I'm in need of a whole exhaust system as is really on its way out - the back box is shot completely.

Lil' update.
FINALLY, the car is going in for spraying of my front bumper, new bonnet & slam. I'm also getting my new spoiler fitted and sprayed at the same time
About £380 for the lot is what they're doing it for.
New plates will go on as well as the front one is an MOT no-go. About time!!!!

Choices, Choices, Choices.....
Choice time....
I'm looking at changing the colour of my speaker grills, heater grills and centre console. Im looking at spraying them silver and there fore having a silver coded interior with to come blue lighting (dials etc).
Should i do this or have a posi blue interior to match outside.
I'm leaning towards the silver as blue and silver go very well together.
Being the cautious person i am in going to get hold of a 2nd hand set of covers /console to spray so that i can leave the car usable until everything is done ( and incase i bugger it up)
Opinions??
---
In other news, the car is now at the body shop - should have it back on Friday hopefully.
---
Going back to blue lighting, what type of LED's are in the heater and hazard switches. I've read the thread relating to the LED change in the dash (thats what gave me the idea)

Neither mate! Erm see if you can get a mk2 vts centre console as I think they come in a dark grey colour! Or get a different colour. Dark colours are best with console and vents!

You say dark grey, and picturing it in my head sounds good. Still with the blue lighting ok?
Any other colours that would suit / particular shades (ie gun metal grey)?

Lil update, i've just finished today installing some JBL components & amp to the car. Money is a little pushed so i didn't go for the boston s50's (I may upgrade in the future though).
Only thing that needs tweeking though is the bass. They fill the car with sound, but lack a little bit of bass punch. Maybe that i need to get a sub to go along with them.
I've also finished priming the centre console etc for spraying (gone for a charcole ish colour to go with the HU)
As of friday/sat mornin, i'm on holiday for 2 weeks, so progress will be on hold.
After that, finish centre console etc and start of false floor build to hide amp(s)

Updates then....
Car went in for service and MOT (service was long overdue). - New standard exhaust fitted - looking at back-boxes now...
- Usual oil and filter as well as fuel filter
- new sparks
- The rest being normal service stuff
It then went and passed its MOT with no probs at all
Away from that, the car has now gained itself a sub and amp (cheers uppitysi for that), the HU is back from repair (and I've got to get the grounding sorted out under the bonnet ).
Centre console and heater / speaker covers are awaiting laquer (have been for a couple of weeks but havn't had time to do them .
I'm part way sorting out the plans for a false floor etc in the boot to hide the amps etc away and to make a bit of space....
The carpet inside... They vary between models don't they (or am I being stupid???) I want to change the current one as there is a couple of rips in it and It looks very dirrrrrrty Blacker the better if they vary
Oh and the car needs a bloody good whoring (sp?) session. (Cleaning stuff to be ordered next week I hope). Clay barring is a must!!!r
