Been pricing this up:

Picasso 1.6 8v gearbox with O/S shaft and bearing carrier and speedo sensor and hubs (from breaker): £180
Hydraulic cable conversion parts: £35
Cable: £15
306 1.8 16v N/S driveshaft (from breaker): £25-35
Wheel bearings £40

Rear mount from Garry.M on Rallye Register: £70 delivered
Torque link for rear mount: £10
Gearbox mount for 106 (spoox): £118.13 delivered

maching for hubs and 3mm shim: £50 (quoted)
shorten O/S driveshaft to 330mm: £50 (quoted)

Quaife (GMC): £570 delivered
BE Satch shift: £301.70

Total: £1475

Seems the BE quaife bolts straight in so no need to open gearbox which is a result

Source own mounts and second hand BE quaife means it can be had for a lot less.

Usually its more expensive from the manufacturer so they dont out price their supplier network!

That price should be vat inclusive or he's breaking the law.. As John at gmc will tell you lol, remember reading about him being done for it lol

If you sell mainly to public all site prices should be shown with vat on, that's why likes of kam show both prices

Edit - thought you meant Quaife!

Yes, it is very misleading on the ATSpeed website. At least John states that VAT isnt included hence why i followed the purchase through - doesn;t say so on the ATSpeed site though. makes me not want to buy from them on principal.

Picked up my be4 box yesterday,

Having a look round it ready to make my mounts,
Does every one ditch the diff brace on the rear?
It bolts to where every one mounts there lower mount?

Because it bolts to literally nothing but the diff housing stiffening it I guess.

Is this the correct release bearing needed for the BE box?

Sorry may sound stupid but . . .

What is the actual benefit from a be4 box/conversion?

it wont shit itself quite as readily as an MA will if you have decent amount of torque from a tuned engine, or even on a stock engine with sticky tyres and half decent suspension and the right shock loadings.
