I've done a couple of nights out without drinking when I've been driving etc, it's quite possibly the shittest thing ever.

Who says they go on nights out with their mates who drink and watch them get hammered?

I didn't even know that was a Scottish stereotype! Haha
Also, not against it. If you read back, you'll see I enjoy the odd beer and even recommended an excellent brewery.

Why not?
In my albeit limited experience, it's preferable to be on the sober side and able to bag the chicks / recount the nights fails to your mates the next day.
This is far harder when you're wankered.
Thankfully I'm far too old to be going out nowadays, I just stay at home and put the world to rights!

I have been on loads of nights out and been sober when they have been pissed doesnt bother me really, my mates are dicks when pissed so still just have a laugh, also if I have drove they pay petrol and my drinks all night, so not too bad.
Dont get me wrong I do drink, I just feel sorry for people who feel they cant get by without a drink

Like I said, I would assume as such.

That's fair enough if you're on the pull I guess, I consider myself pretty fossil like at 26 and when I go out I rarely go 'clubbing' unless there's something decent going on.

Fair play, personally the nights I've been out sober are usually awful, they always start pretty decent in a few pubs but then when everyones howling, people spread apart and you always end up going to terrible clubs purely because it's a quid a shot of which is no benefit to you.
Wish I did enjoy it though, would certainly be a lot cheaper!

When in reality, if you can only be not boring by getting drunk, you're boring until that point of the night and the rest of your seemingly pathetic existence day to day. Must suck to be someone who needs a drink to let themselves go and not be boring...

Boring? Ok but let's be honest I don't sit on a forum moaning and correcting spelling allday! The same group of dicks on here will not allow other people to have an opinion and if you don't agree it's obviously wrong!

*all day.
I have been out a few times where I am designated driver and I don't drink so that my mates have a lift home. I've had some really good nights when I have been sober, also waking up the next day feeling fresh when your mates stink of stale alcohol and feel like the world is falling from their ass is a plus.

You're allowed your opinion but saying "your borin, no one likes a sober person they just want you for a lift home" is just a dick thing to say! It isn't the case for everyone, apart from you obviously.
Just so you know, "your" is used if you possess something e.g "that's your car". "You're" is just short for "you are". E.g "you're a twat!"

Or those that posses some basic intellect and are pretty passionate about keeping to the basic use of grammar and spelling that was instilled in us in our younger years so that we could correctly adopt them in our adult life so as we do not sound like utter delinquents.

I used to drink all the time, get ruined at the weekends and go to the pub with mates in the week for a social 3/4 pint.
Doesn't interest me in the slightest now, I still go out at weekends a lot with friends who drink and i stick to the water, I have other priorities which is meaning i cut out the drink but i still socialise with my friends...
I don't even miss it if i'm honest, I have a right laugh on a night out and then at the end of the night you have very little competition to take home a tipsy girl of your choice.
I don't need to get drunk or high to have a laugh with my mates.
In the summer though i do drink, I really enjoy chilling out with a drink in the sun with a bbq etc. but going out to get wrecked does very little for me nowadays, however on special occasions i will make exceptions.

I agree it wasn't, I was just jumping to the defence of your insinuation that those who correct spelling are sad.

in his defense, I've previously felt like been used as the sober, free taxi home. And ended up with rat arsed passengers, "drive faster/that car is slow", "no i don't want to put my seatbelt on my belly's full","hahaha honk honk hahaha", "what does this button do", "this music is shit put radio 1 on", "I feel sick eurrrgh, eerrrrrrrrgglbll let me out quick" etc.
I did not mind being the sober guy but on a couple of occasions had to tell people to STFU or get out of the vehicle, no thank yous and petrol came out of my pocket. It all depends on which friends really, most are decent but some just lose all sense of decency it after a couple of pints.
