I have the 283's on standard cylinder sometimes i get squeky brakes, have been told the master cylinder would be the best way to cure this
Is it a big job?

TBH mate i havent looked into the job, but cant imagine it being a hard job, goes onto the servo and and is attached to 4 pipes for each calipers IIRC, ill let you know when i get round to doing it.

Thanks mate, and the gearbox question, there is a Sticky knocking around somewhere on the ratios of all the boxes, IIRC the 1.1 and VTS box is similar in the lower gears but the final drive is longer in the VTS or summing and the 1.4 and VTR has the same final drives but the 1.4 has smaller ratios lower done, something like that but not 100% all i no is is that the 1.1 box is the fastest accelorating box next to the VTS.

Fitted the Lower strut brace and green filter today, handles so much better with lower brace and can feel bit more response with the bigger filter
Also gave it a well needed clean and replaced the mirror caps with yellow ones.

White or yellow preffered? Thanks H

My Spax PSX 60mm front dampers and springs turnt up the other day, got round to fitting them today and im very pleased, basically stripped both sides down and went to replace dampers found out that i have blistein front dampers so i obviously left them, i changed to 60mm though and i no people say that it ruins the handling anything more than 40mm but tbh to me it seems a lot stiffer around the bends, will get some pics up tomorro of how much lower it is thanks

how did you get the lower strut brace fitted mate? I tried to get one fitted on mine but once the brace was on i couldn't put the nuts back on as the structure of the brace was stopping me get a spanner in!
suspension mods sound good

Thanks mate, cant beat a good handling car
As for the lower brace i found the same thing, i just got a shallow socket and ratchet on the nut and used a spanner on the bolt end, done it up like a treat. it just takes a bit of jiggling
