Todays mini update, finished early today in excitement for my new DAB ariel for my car which i wanted to fit straight away to get some good reception for my HU
But it was a big FAIL on my part!
The one i have ordered is for a car that has it mounted towards the rear of the roof not front, as the angle is too steep and the curve are the front of the roof wont mount flush with its fittings!
So ive ordered another one now which is a window mount one, which am hoping will still be as good!!!
Silly boy

Today i received yet another DAB ariel for my HU, this time its a glass mounted one. Not my preferred choice but needs must!
I thought it would be bigger and more bulky than it is, so i am kinda happy that its like this. I wired it up and hey presto DAB in the car, lots of crystal clear radio channels.
I have not managed a pic of the aerial mounted but ill get some at the weekend to show its not bad at all. Will get used to it after a few days!

Today i also got some more little tidy up items for the car. I think am going to start on the engine bay to get that nice and tidy with the rest of the car.
Out with the old rusty ecu and battery trays, and some nice painted items to perk up the bay. Thanks to FisherVTS for the items, received all good bud, just gonna give them a quick clean and maybe another spray again
This weekend am picking up a E-Tech strut brace for the car, which am going to get painted, am just unsure which colour at the moment. But i doubt i will get round to fitting that or the trays this weekend as ive still only fitted one bucket and the headunit still needs fully wiring in, and prob wont get around to that either as im working all weekend. Just non stop!!!
Any ideas on what colour to have the brace painted?

It could work but am not too fussed on having white in the engine bay, too much like hard work to keep clean
