Look under the dash, behind the glove box, alarm people usualy put the alarm "brain" there, whip it out and send it to a company who can reprogram it.

I used http://www.ibedfordshire.co.uk/profi.../Brite-Sparks/ when an old clifford packed up. failing that, just give them a call and they might be able to walk you through it via phone

only works if its a plug in style
if its hard wired like a lot are then taking it out is a bit of an issue chopping wires

As said last night, disconnect battery for 24 hours, try resetting the ECU.

It would also help to check and find the model number of the alarm as it may have a backup battery which then comes more of a problem, personally i'd say whip out the loom and replace it, would probably save time and get sorted quicker, all depends on how much your in a rush.

Agreed, I'd look to remove the aftermarket immobiliser - the car has one as standard which is perfectly fine.

I would have thought it should be fairly easy to see where the immobiliser is wired in - just cut/replace 1 wire at a time.

Overhere in Holland they are soo rare, I only seen one all these years.
