Default Gearbox Rebuild

Haynes doesn't want to tell me how.
Bearings are easy to get hold of, what about replacement gears and synchros?
If I'm willing and got the tools and time (reduced working hours boooo!), what's involved and where do I get parts from?

Well if your taking the time and effort to pull the gearbox apart then you may as well Citroen parts - iirc they aren't stupidly expensive.

Rebuilding the gearbox is hard if you don't know what your doing - good luck with it!

if you have had to look in the haynes manual mate i really wouldnt try and do it. Have it proffesionally done as you could easily make things worse.

My angle is that it can't hurt but have a go. I'm fitting a replacement box and will have the old one kicking about.
I've done some reading-up and am getting tools as I require them. I know it aint gunna be easy, but in stripping one down I can atleast start to see what's required and where to replace parts.
BTW - My Haynes comment was a bit of a wise-crack, wasn't really expecting it to say much!

you will struggle to source individual gears, just buy an entire cluster from what you need.

Internet just refers to bearings bearings bearings and more bearings. Found some diff gear sets, but not sure I'll be doing those yet.
Only gear items I can find are from Quaiffe at £3000 for a set of their MA gearbox internals! Yikes!
