Just an update for you all as it's gonna be a while the saxo is back on the road. The rear beam had started to knock and squeak really bad. Worked out it was the anti roll bar, figured tightening everything back up would stop this. When I tried to remove the cover plates the 13mm snapped on the driver side. The car is now undriveable and will require a new replacement beam which obviously isn't cheap. I imagine the car will be off the road for a couple months due to holidays and work and will be while before I can get this sorted. Gutted isn't the word and puts French car show on hold and any track days. If anyone has cheap nearly new rear beam to fit or knows of a way to fix this, let me know

Updates at last!!
Bought another Saxo VTR to strip some bits off before getting scrapped
Got some bits fitted to mine today
Smoked rear lights
VTS Wheels
Gave the wheels a paint so there presentable for the moment
Painted my grill black at the same time.
I have salvaged parts of the kit which needed replacing on mine, yet to be fitted and the tailgate as well.
Really happy how this is coming together. Just need to source a replacement beam as the knocking is doing my head in

Recently fitted a straight through centre pipe so only silencer is the back box. Sounds great, lots of pop pops but think it is just too loud tbh. Might put the old section back in but not sure for now.
The wheels need a professional refurb as look terrible at the moment. Need a new grill as well as the finish came out awful with the black paint.
Contemplating getting another car and transferring parts over as I'm really not happy with the condition of this shell. I either need to lower my expectations on condition or just turn this one into a track slag and then maybe go on the search for a perfect car to keep for the long run.

Will get it hopefully booked in this Friday to get the tracking done.

Fitted the new axle today! Also fitted some black head lights and wind deflectors. Now the car is all mechanically sorted I will start to concentrate on the appearance. Anyway here are some pics from today.
The rear is lower than I wanted and could do with coming up 20mm
Ignore the state of the grill it will be getting changed soon.

Been neglecting for saxo the past few months so time to get going again now the snow has cleared. Ordered a load of new bits and made a start today.
Bought a second hand show cage until I get a proper one.
Stripped some more of the car out. Working progress.
Fitted some DTM mirrors, not too sure on them yet but we will see.
And finally tucked away back in the garage until next time.
If anyone knows of a very cheap set of bucket seats please let me know.
