As above, should of done your homework first,

"prior preparation prevents a piss poor performance"

should just sell the lot as a package then buy a single plug setup.

Hi I have a 2000 vts with single plug ecu and was looking to putting engine in my vtr shell but that's a 2001 on 3 pin ecu so I need to find either single plug vtr shell or 3 pin vts is this correct?

If its a 1.1 and you put a 1.6 enigine in without changing the gearbox, you will run into problems. but if its a VTR you might just ge away with it

Gearbox Chage or not

1.1 to 1.6 CHANGE
1.4 to 1.6 CHANGE or Service More
1.6 8v to 1.6 16v Service atleast twice a year ( If you drive fast !)

Some people manage to get away with it. I had a 1.1 gearbox on my vtr but after 8 months it gave up on life, cant say i thrash it that often either.
It could have been down to an already worn box but it seemed quite and smooth when i first fitted it
