Great Driving Roads? - Saxperience

I think it would be good to have a section where people could suggest great roads to go for a drive in the uk?

It might even be better to have it as a side section in the Events and Saxperience Regional Meets section,as it will be easyer to search for good places to go for a drive in your area.Also it would be good if people posted links of the route they take using google maps to show the way abit more clearly than just saying the name of the roads.

What do you lot think of it?

im sure people know most of the roads in a their local area and when you say 'great roads' im guessing that this would lead to responses of 'this road is mint, no speed cameras so you can go well fast innit' 'i always race down this road it takes me XX mins to do it'
i can understand where your coming from but imo its not needed unless its from a town to a place, e.g. Leeds to Old Trafford Stadium.

have you suggested this to your RMO?

I think it's a good idea if it's not abused... i.e. it's a road that happens to be a great drive, but can also be recommended because there's a nice pub along the way, or it goes through a place worth visiting...

Or it might just have lots of nutjobs intent on killing themselves posting up 'lap times', which is what happened on a forum I used to a visit. Ironically, two lads ended up in intensive care when they were racing each other, and they crashed into each other... going from opposite ends... and they met in the middle.

It's six of one, and half a dozen of the other, really depends if people on here can be trusted with gold dust information of a good, fast, challenging road. I think it's a nice idea.

lol similair thing happend to me and my mate on bicycles though...wasnt to bad just scabs and sore hands and heads as we headbutted eachother...

I dont think it will be at all,as long as people dont say"I can go down the a27 to bognor in 2:30mins" ect.

Im on about just posting nice routes to go for drive with nice scenries(sp) and great roads.Not anything to do with posting routes where there are no speed cameras or where people rag there cars along.I have seen it on the mazda forum and it works well,with good place to go for a sunday drive when your bored.

Just thought it could be good on here.
