Random pics using my Ixus 60
Here are some pics I've taken using my Canon Ixus 60... none of the pics have been shopped... let me know what you think??
Down the local Riverside Country Park on a cloudy overcast day
The same day and location
Some over ripened bananas and tasty apples
A dying flower
Some birds at a different Country Park
A bug that decided to hitch a ride along the M3... right in my line of vision

looking good mate, Ixus are the best compact cameras around i stand by it! Im shooting with a Nikon D70s at the moment, but most of my best shots have been with a compact, keep up the good work!

I got the Ixus for Xmas... took it on a Lads weekend and one of my mates dropped it, so Jessops had it for over a month to fix it.
I love the camera and some of the results I've got with it... just wish I had the talent to take a better pic.

mate theyre really good but yeh the ixus is definately one good camera. I study photography at art college, and all the nerds love it too, and these guys are using cameras worth 1000+
just take the camera with you at all times, when you see an opportunity to shoot, do it, dont worry about anything just take it. you will see loads of improvement

I've started taking it out with me more often... it's just knowing what setting to have it on for each pic.

Yeah I love the Ixus... but I'd still like to afford to buy a decent DSLR.

That top picture is pretty powerful i think, horrible industrial buildings polluting away in the distance & a broken down pier in the foreground rotting away since there are no fish to catch any more.
Jims rejig of it is superb too, puts a nice spin on such a despairing scene!

That's a pretty good description of the pic Jason...... the actual area where the pier and rusty boat is has got a lot of natural beauty round it..... it's a Riverside Country Park/nature reserve... tis a nice place to go for a walk or bike ride on a nice day! Just such a shame that there is a power station across the other side of the river...
