Well i've gone and bought myself a Eunos Roadster, after a constant barrage of peer pressure to go RWD.
It's pretty beat, but mechanically sound.
1993 Eunos Roadster. Born the same year as me
95k Miles. MOT and tax until the end of this year.
Loads of service history, passed its last mot with no advisories. It also had a massive service the beginning of this year, all oils filters and brake pads etc.
Has a mint soft top, no leaks.
Not a single bit of rust, can't even find any surface rust.
Brakes, engine and gearbox all feel awesome, minimal interior rattles which is weird for an mx5.
Even the air con works! I doubt it'll stay long though, who needs it when you can just take the roof off!
Has plenty of external 'discrepancies' shall we say. 20 years of car park dents and a scrape on the left. None of this bothers me as i'll be skidding in to gravel at Lydden Hill anyway.
It's also pretty faded in places.
Anyway I paid £675 for it so can't complain. I pick it up Sunday, here are 2 of the sellers pics.
Plans are to fix the drivers side window.
General tidy up, see if the paint will restore at all.
Get rid of that weird number plate plinth and de-badge it.
See how much the wheels clean up, may just do a bodge refurb.
Uprated HT leads, drilled air box with panel filter.
Weld diff.
Full custom exhaust.
MeisterR Coilovers.
Full custom rollcage with doorbars.
Need to get myself some side mounts so i can mount this-
That's about it. Oh yeah this is not my daily. My saxo will be up for sale soon so i can buy something boring like a polo/lupo.
Cheers.
