Default Drivers door won't open -HELP

Hey up, the drivers door on the Saxo won't open for some reason. From outside or inside, i've removed the doorcard and everything seem to be ok - but as you can't see properley with the door shut, I cant be sure.

Now the alarm is constantly going off when any door/boot is unlocked/locked, so the alarm is disconnected but the hazards still flash. I assumed it was the alarm and deadlocked the door, but apparently Saxo's dont have a deadlocking system? And the auto-technician dude doesnt think it is the alarm causing the door to remain locked, but something mechanical?

Any ideas what it could be?
Anyone know if its possible to open up the door without breaking anything??

Please help! It's not cool falling out the passenger door everytime I have climb out! LOL

Cheers
Dan

I had the same issue and there was a metal rod that hooks into the handle of the door itself, you can see inside the door, bit of a twat like

Cheers dude, yeah the metal wire thing that connects to the door pin and the lock itself. It is a twat! Pissing me off big time!

Had the rod come off in yours? As mine seems to be fine....

the two rods fossie mentioned? that go to the central locking and the door handle? if so they are connected ok it seems, no play in them anyway.

how do i check if theres a problem with the central locking soleniod??

when using keyfob only passenger door unlocks, but then instantly locks itself again. so have to use the key in the passenger door and it'll stay open then.

the door pin on the drivers side is in the unlock posistion, but it seems its jammed into locked mode....

its a blag!

ok well it sounds like the white plastic connection on the soleniod is lose or come off get it checked. or the door pins are obstructing it opening and closing

its the central locking door motor type thing that lock and unlocks the doors. i know a few people have had the same problem as you and its always turned out to be this.

disconnect your battery get your arm in and unlock the door pin lock, then pull the door handle rod

should open the door and giving you a better chance of getting in there to check for the problem.

by disconecting the battery the central locking wont keep locking the door when trying to work on it

Disconnect the motor from the dodgy lock and lock it manually by inserting the key in to the lock (very retro). Then set the alarm to lock the other door & boot.

Crisis diverted until tomorrow.

One of the rods will hook through a plastic eye on the solenoid, either it's come off or the plastic eye has snapped.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/door-lock-...sAAOSwrklVLXiV
