Boot Ahhh!
There is a split in the boot between the floor and the side. Do i just weld a plate onto it or is it worse than I thought?

hmm weird, mine has on my 106, can you see through the gap ? mines about 1mm thick in the like filler sealent stuff thats put it, im just gona ignor it no real problem.. i dont think

I wouldnt say just weld a plate onto it but, sand it back, treat it with antirust, the some sheet metal both sides welded in all the way round then anti rust over that and quite a bit around.
