Lighter port not charging.
Hi Guys,
Bought my 2002 Saxo Devine 1.1 last Saturday and I have recently discovered the lighter does not charge any devices, I have used 5 different USB adapters and none have worked, but the lighter itself works fine. Bit useless though if you don't smoke!
Any idea what to do?...
Thanks,
O.

I was thinking that but the lighter warms up, unless it is controlled by two fuses?

Are these adapters from the pound shop. Obviously not making contact and/or broken if the lighter works.

That's what I thought, but all of the adapters work in my parents and brothers car and on an attachment to my motorcycle... hummm....

Haha. It's an idea but I think I will pass!
I went to slam dunk festival yesterday/today and I stuck by the 'monster' stage and it was outdoors and there were smokers everywhere! urgh! no offense to smokers but it's the only downside to the whole outside music concerts! - I personally cannot stand smoking of any kind... I'd rather spend my money on either caffeine drinks, fish or on the bike!

Wow, busy few weeks I have had. The joys of teaching, thankfully the students have 2 weeks left! sweet!
Anyways - I have had a fiddle in the fuse box, tried a number of different usb chargers and also ones which connect to sat navs and it still isn't working! :/ humm

Really strange... I am thinking about attempting to take out the port and just fit a USB one in, makes sense (will need to find a sat nav which charges through USB!).
I have a USB on my radio but it wouldn't charge the iPhone 6 plus... the iPhone just came up saying "do you trust this computer" over and over again!

If you are feeling brave you can get usb ports that you can wire to 12v and earth and mount it where ever you like

I am thinking that, I am sure it won't be too difficult to replace! There is a breakers yard just down the road from me, so I will be popping there to see if I can scavenge something! Maybe some VTR wheels too!

I've just fixed the same issue on my car. The best way to see if it is the fuse is check if your horn is working because they are both on the same circuit. With mine it was the fuse. But after I changed the fuse, like your issue my light got warm that's about it. I DISCONNECTED the battery and scrapped all the crap on the inside of the lights. Works perfect and has done since
Best of luck
!?¡¿!?¡¿!?IF ANYONE ATTEMPTS TO CLEAN THE INNER PART OF THE LIGHT YOU MUST DISCONNECT THE BATTERY!?!?!?!!?¡¿¡¿

Great thanks, I will have a look. The horn works really well ... I will have a clean up of the lighter to see what happens then. Thanks!
