hey mate, good pics.
the reason why the top of the buildings are blured is due to the apperture you were using. from looking at the flare from the lights i am guessing that you just auto mode with out the flash, the problem with this is that it will automatically select a large apperture (ie F4) so that the shutter speed is shorter. if you were to use aperture priority mode and select f22 then all of the image will in focus, however your exposure time will longer so you will definately need a tripod.
going back to the flare off the light, when you adjust the aperture to a smaller on (f22) it creates a nice starburst effect rather than just glare.
