Perhaps a Canon 450D?

Have you decided which brand you would like to go for?

PC World/Currys do finance mate. For the Canon 450D PC World do it for £499.99

They also do a Price Promise scheme which means if you find it cheaper else where they will beat it plus 10% of the difference even up to 7 days after purchase. ( dependent on what store and if it is in stock, also has to be an exact match )

Dont forget that its not all down to the body, Glass is the most important thing. Spend as much as you can on the best glass you can afford.
