I'm getting mine on Monday, i couldn't find a better one for the money. I've heard that the lens kit that comes with it is not as good as the main competitors but it can't be any worse than the fuji a500 i'm upgrading from LOL!!!
I've ordered mine from currys with a total saving of £96.99!! (AW40AUG discount code - £40 off, 'deliverfree' discount code, and the canon £50 cashback)
Total price £372.80

Try this pic
Make your mind up from that ....
Great camera, easy to use. You can use it in all auto modes and when you fancy becoming more advanced you can use the manual modes and get some excellent results
Loads of goodies you can buy for them too. Great first D-SLR IMO
The lens kit isn't the best on the market but that pic was took with a Sigma 100-300mm lens costing £120(new)
Not alot £££'s for some good results like that

I got mine today, it's gonna take ages to figure out how to use it properly though. The first few pics i took saw a noticeable difference from the sh*tty camera i upgraded from. Really pleased so far

is a brill camera mate, currys/pcw do a couple of good lens deals to, they have got the sigma 50-200 (lens not as good quality but focal length is alrite) and also a canon 90-300 which is wicked for telephoto shooting, you should check it out. as far as the 400d goes its def the best in the current range of dslr's. if you got any questions about it dont hesitate to give me a shout as i work for canon lmao.
