Landscape pictures (one for ze gurus!!)

i am buggering off to ze lakes tomorrow. and of course, the camera and tripod will be coming along to
can you give me any suggestions on how to get some great scenery pictures? as i will be going up big hills etc, so the views will be great

ad's spot on there with the suggestions
look on the lens mate, usually the end of it and it will give you the lens diameter, you might be able to pick some up in duty free.
also when shooting largescale landscapes set it to a small aperture like f22 for maximum depth of field, this will increase the exposure time but if you are using a tripod it wont matter, also use the lowerest possible ISO to reduce noise and improve colour saturation
