Under bonnet blanket.
Can anyone help in a little advice as I was thinking of getting some of that heat sheald stuff from B&Q ( the stuff you put behind your home radiators ) and fasten it to ar where the bonnet blanket goes for show as i have some of my engine bits polished.
WILL THIS HARM MY ENGINE (AS IN OVERHEATING) ?
Any help with this please.

surely if you put in on the underside of the bonnet, as heat rises, the heat will reflect off the stuff your buying and back around the engine, making it hotter? and worse performance?
am i right pred?

well kind of right in a way, they do have one as standard but doesnt reflect heat
could always use bonnet raisers to get rid of heat i suppose

Using heat shield wouldnt be the best idea as its designed to reflect heat and protect whatever is underneath it so it would just heat the engine up. Cant you get proper stuff? Iv seen it on a few fords.
