Default Quality Help

We've had our D40x about a year now and when we'd first got it the picture quality was fantastic, but now the pictures just don't seem as good, they lack depth and sharpness.

Any ideas?

Default

any examples of crappy pics man?

Have you messed about with the settings? your best bet could be to default it back to factory settings and see how it pans out.

To do that you need to remove the primary battery, but then also locate the secondary battery (basically a CR-type battery that remains in the camera almost permanently, which allows the date and settings to be stored). Leave for 10mins and then replace everything.

Also, check the lens and sensor arent mucky.
