Default PS3

Im wanting to buy a PS3 after chrimbo but theres alot of talk about the prices coming down in easter.

Anyone know what the price cut is going to be like, or should i look for one in the sales?.

And which is the best to buy, regardless of hard drive size but for the features. (i have a 250gb hdd ready to put in it)

the one with the best features is easily the 60GB model, which is no longer out there, it has backwards compatibility and more ports and connexions and shit.

after that they all have similar features i think.

i'd just go for it and buy in the new year sales, cos if it doesn't go down in easter you'll be gutted you didn't get it in january, and if it does go down in easter you'll have had it so long you'll have forgotten about what you paid for it anyway (y)

60gb was my choice and 90% of my mates but when one of my mates got a brand new 80gb the other day (he couldn't find a 60gb that wasn't scratched!) we couldn't believe how quiet it was, some say 60gb is prone to over heating too.

It was a choice between a used, scratched £310 60gb with 1 month warranty or a quieter new £300 80gb with 1 year warranty and 3 free games/1 bluray.

Theres no 60GB versions made anymore.

IIRC 50-70% of them were faulty.
Just get an 80GB one...

the new ps3's have a new chassis in them. They are uber quiet and don't start blowing like a hairdryer when they get hot like the old ones!

You know that Gamestation do price matching?

Go to them, tell them that deal, and they will match/beat it

Company advertising ftw

Gamestation price match anything.

Games, consoles, accessories, etc.

The store they match with has to be in a 5miles radius, cant be in closing down sale, and they have to have them in stock when we're matching them.

We have scouts that check these things out btw
