Looking for a camera - Saxperience

Hope someone can help me,
Looking for a decent camera, a good one to keep for a while.
Not really sure what to be looking for, as im pretty new to camera's and stuff.
Looked through some pictures on here and they are awesome!
So any help would be greatly aprechiated.

Havent really got a buget, obviously not looking at spending thousands on a first camera, but want one to keep for a few years, so wont get bored of it quickly!

a great range is the fuji finepix S range, like the S1000fd etc.

second to that for £250 you can have my 400d and lens. spare battery, all boxed with wires, manual, CD's etc. only used for 10 months.

mine will you keep you entertained far longer than the fuji

You didn't say what type of camera you are interested in. I have just bought one of these http://www.digitaldirect.co.uk/sony/dsl-ra700k.html . I think it is a great camera.
