Connecting To Xbox Live through a Laptop
Is there a way for me to connect my Xbox to the Internet through my Laptop? (Windows 7, Sony Vaio)
I've tried quite a few sites, I've done everything that has been said but It won't work..
I've got a map pack I want to download but because I'm in Spain, and my Xbox is Registered to the UK. It gets stuck at 99% Damn thing.
Anyway, anyone have any Ideas maybe?
Thanks in Advance.

Because I bought Overplay VPN to change my IP so it thinks I'm in England, and obviously it works. Like I can watch TV Shows online on 4oD when I couldn't before because I'm in Spain!

Ethernet cable from laptop to box, then on the box settings go through there, and make sure if your'e using a VPN, it matches that IP. But it does slow the connection a fair amount.

All you need to do is connect your laptop to your router by Wi-Fi, I'll assume this is already done, connect the ethernet from the xbox to the laptop, then go into control panel, network connections, adapter settings, then highlight both adapters, right click - bridge connections.
Sorted.

Thanks guys, I think this WOULD work but my Xbox doesn't recognize Ethernet Cable?! Like It should have a little tick at the top right no? I've tried 2 cables now, both are working elsewhere! I think its time to give up and wait till I'm in England to download the Maps. Awesome lol

I think you need a cross over Ethernet cable and not just your normal cable, to connect your xbox to laptop

The two I've tried don't work. Do you think it could be the connection in my xbox?
