youll be hard pushed to find someone more lyrically talented than kano.. download some old mixes from when he was just comming up through the ranks with nasty. also look at ruff squads old stuff
wiley is not the best

yeh kano isnt grime anymore mate.
kano is talented he was good in his time in the grime scene.
im not saying wiley is the best lyrically im saying he is the best in the scene as in he brought all these artists you speak of through the door, he has been around forever.
we could argue the toss for aslong as you want, you name one grime artist thats as good as wiley now, there isnt one mate cos grime is dead thats why even wiley is putting out club tracks, and all the rest have commercialised themselfs. I love grime mate and ill never stop listening to it but it is a dying scene, chipmunk is the only talent out of grime in ages.

glad someone else thinks like me.
Grime finished about 2 years ago imo, its too chavtastic the stuff you hear now. Its a real shame, some quality music was made and was once a great scene. Its sad when i watch old DVD's and listnen to the tapes i recorded off pirate radios from around london, especially the Dynasty show on freeze fm, still got that somwhere.
Only decent artist i would rate is ghetto, but even him imo isnt grime anymore, more ukhh.
devlin was a favourite of mine and faction G, marcy phonics, hyperfen. Not forgetting jon e cash with his sub low beats and the rossi b and luca mixes. I havnt payed any attention to the grime scene for 2 years. Are these artists still going?
anyone??

agree with you on that one.. allthough i stand by my point that wiley being the "best" becuase of the scen he started is the wrong word to use, but i do agree it wouldnt have happend without him
in my eyes grime was never alive. the people involved with grime expected too much from it, everyone constantly talks about "going big" but it simply wont happen, because its not the type of music that can go commercial..
look at the dnb scene, and the dubstep scene, these are going well becuase the people involved know where they stand, theyre good at what they do but dont expect to be in the radio 1 charts all the time

also agree with that
i gave up on grime a good 3 years ago.. it used to be quality, the old sidewinder raves, and pirate radios.. sets used to get people boucing
but now is too heavily involved with "shanking mans", and thats something i dont like about it, the musics depressing nowadays. as you say "chavtastic" way too many little kids just causing trouble, and grime has an influence on it!
