Default VTS rear shocks

My VTS was fitted with rear shocks that look like the standard items , they both have a label with 3863 on it , they still seem to be working well so will probably refit them . I have picked up a pair of VTR rear shocks , they have a slightly fatter body but otherwise look identical and have 2303 on a sticker , are they a softer rate than the VTS items ?

I think they're the same rate, as the torsion bars and car weights are the same.

If they're used items, then you're probably not going to notce any difference between them if there is.

I am probably going to fit new rear shocks to my VTS , i have used Bilstein B4's on my Peugeots but i can't find any for a Saxo . I have found some new gas shocks on ebay , either Quinton Hazel or Kayaba for sensible money but its hard to know if the QH ones will be any good . Anybody have any experience of these .

Not sure about their shocks, but QH sell OE quality parts so they'll be really good. I just fitted QH wheel bearings to my Suzuki, and they've got the OE part numbers on them too, so I would presume they supply parts to manufacturers.

106 and saxo shocks are the same fitment. you'll be fine with either B4 or B6 with standard axle if you want to use Bilstein/
