What happened to my memory card?

I've got an 8gb micro SD memory card in my Nokia.

Last night I was playing around with the phone and noticed there is a feature that lets you put a password on your memory card, so I did that.

But now the card went dead, the phone doesn't even recognise it when I take out or put it back in. I've tried it in another phone and same thing.

So what happened to it?

nokias seem to kill memory cards, mine fucked over the other night and now no computer will recognise it even exists
