Default Y plate vtr, circle or square air box?

Ive got an open cone induction kit on my car at the moment but want to get rid of it and put a standard air box with a panel filter in it.

I found someone on here thats got one and was planning on buying it next week, someone was asking if my original box was circlular or square though, Im not sure as the induction kit was on it when I bought it.

Does anyone know if I need a circle or square one and if it makes any difference?

Its just the housing I think so it determines which shape filter you can put in there... if they both fit and the oil breather pipe goes in there then happy days

thats the thing, Im not sure if they'll both fit?

so if I want to fit a panel filter which I understand will give me the most performance wise, which shape do they come in, Im assuming circular and square shapes?

think Im going to attempt to fit the standard box myself, could someone give me a run down of what I need to do? Ive got an oil breather fitted as well btw, pics would be ideal..

Cheers

Danny

just had a look on kamracing and the circular filters and square ones are the same price, is one better than the other or are they just a different shape?

The 98bhp saxo had the improved square airbox, so go for one of those!
