If I have a 1.86 Ghz dual core processor, is 1.86 ghz a single processor or is that for both? thanks

imagine it as two cars along side each other doing say 120mph, they are each at the same speed. Between them they can move twice as much but still get there at the same spped one car would...

Does that make any sense? (trying to put it into car terms )

it means 2x1.8. it just slows what clock there running out. in this case its 1.8
