Thumbs down Rough Idle (NOT ICV)

So I just finished whacking 500miles on my VTR going up to Doncaster and back in one day...

My VTR has never idled very smoothly and I have had problems with the ICV in the past, so that has recently been cleaned. I did try replacing the ICV to get rid of my hunting engine but the car just idled at 2500rpm even after resetting the ECU etc...

They are just short clips please tell me if you need longer clips of the problem occurring

Anyway, after this long trip I have a new idle problem, the idle it erratic and jumping around all over the place, there is a very strange hissing noise developed in the body next to the ICV shown in the video below... The revs sort of build up and up and then drop...

Did you get an ICV off a VTR? I know on VTS models you have to get one for a VTS. I replaced mine recently a brand new cheap model and it just cut the car out all the time. I think its still your ICV unless you've snapped something somewhere aroundyour inlet causing a leak and erratic idle

It doesn't do it everytime, its just now and again so i'm not sure that plugging it in would bring anything up but ill give it a go!

Where abouts is it located? I'm at work and can't really look around at the moment, if so I'll pick one up on the way home

slacken the throttle cable voltage at TPS must be less than 0.65v at idle or ICV system will think you are on light throttle and not idle ,so it will not ove .
