Cheers Ben.

Finch has been using the brakes for a couple of days now, and they have bed in well. He used them on track today and they were absolutely fine. It must have been the sliders after all... Oh well!

Yes, same mate! I had a great time, what an experience. Thanks for the comments on the car. Can't wait to meet up again and get some more track time in!! Your car was the shiniest there, as to be expected, haha.

Yes, good meeting you Alex. Thanks for the comments on the car. Shame about the driver... But you gotta start somehwere, right? For those that don't know, Alex passangered with me today, and I think I showed him some lines that resembled spaggetti more than racing...

Yep, can't wait to get out again! I might look into some tuition...

Err.. Not exactly pawnage! LMAO!! The car held up well, but I didn't really know what I was doing. It had Sooo much grip, and I just didn't know how to put it to good use. Still, t'is a learning curve.

Even with my poor skills, I still somehow managed to pass a 330ci and a Teggy DC5.

The car felt nice, but I just didn't have the bottle to turn in at the speeds it could handle. I made a bit of a boo boo going into Paddock Hill Bend. Just before the dip, I thought I was going too fast, so while turning in a hit the brakes, and the car went all snappy. Alex told me off for that one...

Another little update for you folks!

I spent a few hours on the car removing all the ABS sensors and the cabling left behind. The fronts were a doddle, but the rear ABS sensors don't seem to budge, so it was (stop!) hammer time.

As you can see, all cabling gone and also all the metal brackets:

I also took the metal dust discs / thingies from the rear while I was in a 'taking bits off' kindda mood. The car shed over 5kgs today, lol!

I also bought some new repeaters as one of mine had broken loose. Went for some smoked ones, what do you think?

I picked up the set of Superleggera's from WickedWheels today. They haven't been re-furbed due to one of them being twisted. Anyhow, we got them on the wheel balancer machine to see them spin, well, the *apparently* twisted one, and it seemed fine. SO I don't think there's going to be an issue with these. I'm still going for arctic white, what you chaps think? I also stuck them on the scales - 13kg with new'ish tyres. Not bad...

I've also got some aero catches still to fit... I will have a stab at them tomorrow. Should look quality!

good stuff man, the main thing is you enjoyed yourself?? its a little scary first time out.
once warm those tyres will give you a bundle of grip and plenty feedback so dont hesistate to turn in a little later than your used to.

would love to get your car on the scales it is ubber light.

stay with white for the wheels mate unless you decide to change the whole clolour scheme but i think it looks great.

the aero catches are much better and look 10x neater. just make sure you do them right first time.

Ahhh finally the cars no longer a track virgin!! Awesome mate, so pleased.

Brands is a great track to learn on imo. Was Brands wasnt it?

Updates are cool too mate, not a big fan of the dark side repeaters, they seem a bit of sore thumb against the silver paint and white wheels?

Also I asked a few people about the dust protectors being removed on the rear in the past. Most people said it shouldnt be done. Not sure why but best to ask about. Anyone advise?

with regards the the rear brake dust covers. if you dont use your car often or it gets a thorough clean once in a while it should be ok...
its mainly for those people who do 80k miles and done wash or maintaing their car.

Oh yeah, fantastic time Danny!!

Certainly when I get more time on the track (20 minutes isn't long enough) I'll have the chance to play around more and start to get a feel. I was a bit like a rabbit in headlights out there!

I'll get the car on some scales very shortly. Any bets as to what she weighs?

Yes, you only get one chance, or it's new bonnet time!

All I seem to do is copy people! LOL. T'is honestly not my intention...

I haven't given them back yet, they're sitting in the garage right now. I need to find out about fitting and stuff before I think about re-furbing.

Well, if you don't mind? You don't have to mate...

You see mate, I'm just not in the same league as you when it comes to styleeee. Here's me thinking they looked the nuts, and you tear me to pieces. LOL. If it's any consolation, I was thinking of changing the mirrors to CF ones, to match the CF intakes. I thought perhaps the repeaters would go well? I did look for a lighter smoked colour, but these were all I could find...
