I need to sort my fibreglass bonnet (single sheet 4 aerocatches and a pin in the badge to stop it flapping) and rear 3 polycarbs out theres a few other bits too but im not 100% on doing them
There sat in the garage ready haha
was impressed at joshs and sams i didnt realise still had a fair bit under the carpet so its not bad tbh will be under 800 with very little effort
Pretty good to see
Love that mines happily over 200hp/ton with full interior as that was my initial aim when i started the motor build tbh

That's pretty good weight saving guys
Mine came in at 820 last year (on a public Weighbridge so give or take!) - was aiming for 500bhp/ton which I finally got this year as I think the cars lost a little weight this year (lighter rad, intercooler, some interior parts, etc). I'd really like to get it weighed properly somewhere like that though so you know exactly
Did it cost much/anything?

Holy shit, that light!
Although, that means my 106 must have been pretty bloody light then. I think the mango's probably stripped a bit more, but has a heavier cage than I was running. Fuck, that' upsetting...

Jay - Currently it's 200 per ton using 165bhp as a power figure, with 800kg it would be around 210per ton roughly.
Titch - what spec was your 106?

Thats a pretty good weight with interior etc alex, id be chuffed with that!
Very light also Josh. I agree though, im surprised Sams aint a little bit lighter. I guessed 820kgs for his as thats what my old 1.4 weighed at with them two Corbeau Recliners I got off you guys years ago. + I didnt go to town with insulation behind the dash etc

if that was when it was turbo'd then theres no way im believing that! you have BE box, cage, all turbo gear etc and only 30kgs heavier than my car was with throttle bodies...colin says his car is 900kgs.. how is your 80kgs lighter? i wanna know so i can do it, should get mine down to below 700kgs
josh, im back a week on wednesday mate. when ive got my clutch sorted and the car mapped ill take a ride up to yours

To get a car below 700kg you have to go pretty drastic. I'm cutting and chopping lots on my 205 to get that low.

Yeah, similar to what Alex said, but it wasn't a 1.1 to start with. Pretty much a base spec shell with sports suspension/the brace bars that go from the bulkhead to the wishbone kidney mountings etc. Handbook said ~895kg to start with.
