Default VTS build

Hey,

New here so I'll take the opportunity to say hi.
I've got a vtr here with a vts lump waiting to go in but in all honesty, I'm in no rush to get it in.
I'm about ready to order Cat 743's (iirc) & I'm toying with the idea of a billet steel flywheel.
My only concern is the extra stress on the valvetrain. Engine it's going on has got 88k on it and was just wondering if anyone's had any previous issues with valve springs etc. Think Cat cams do competition valve springs for only a hundred quid or so, so it wouldn't break the bank to cover my ass with those.

Opinions?

Standard springs are fine with 743's get them in mine have had no problems at all. But for personal preference if you want to do them by all means do them I thought of doing it but never did as was told by pug1off they would be fine

Cheers for the reply, I'll probably just keep the standard springs then.

waste of money the flywheel unless you were revving to 8500rpm 0--which you won,t be with hydraulic lifters
