i am having the same problem. its as if the car is mis-firing sometimes. usualy it happens when the engine is cold. and also when its cold it wont idle. i used to be able to get 105mph from my 1.1 spi when it was running good but now i can only get 95? i have given mines a basic service i.e: plugs, oil and filters. i am planning on converting my 1.1 to a vtr/s soon, so i dont worry about it that much though. but it still bothers me because my friend has a 106 1.1 mpi and he can beat me now haha. not that we race on the public roads

ive serviced it, had it on a dienostics(not spelt correct). and changed the sensors it told me to. and its still doing it.

ive been told its the coil pack so that will be getting changed soon as.

mine is like it wants to go but somethings holding it back, then after a few seconds it pulls like a rocket lol(thats about the only way i can describe it).and like above it only dos it when its cold.

I'd change the fuel filter and spark plugs, just to eliminate them.

I find removing the throttle body and all its sensors for a good clean helps. Particularly the map sensor on 3 plug cars - they cause all sorts of strange misfires when they get gunked up with oil.

I have this problem aswell, blip the throttle and it dies for a second before correcting itself. Sometimes when i blip it it will bounce like its going to stall before sorting itself out. Tried blasting it with carb cleaner and it sorts it out for afew days. Its really spoiling the car for me now can't drive like i want to. gota rev it like an old bint before bringing the clutch up! jus ordered a new MAP sensor! got a bosch 1 cost me 40 quid so i hope it works! Shud b ere for friday so i will keep everyone posted on what happends.

Saxo nightmare! You gotta love em tho!
