Shot ourselves in the foot there, a missed opportunity, and I appreciate all the oil 'experts' comments about how we wouldn't survive and how oil is running out, here's a little read for you: http://www.oilofscotland.org/scottis...h_sea_oil.html
That article provides more facts rather than simply throwing numbers in the air and mentions that there is at least 100 years of oil left... plenty!
Also a few people bickering about No voters being traitors etc. is hardly a big deal, after all they are entitled to their opinion.
However the actions of bigoted No voters in Scotland tonight is a much bigger problem and shows the true mentality of a large percentage of them. Horrible bigoted, brainwashed neanderthals.
Burning the Scottish Saltaire is disgusting, smashing windows in Buchanan Street, fighting, attacking the Sunday Herald headquarters, oh and they were joined by the EDL tonight too, what a lovely bunch eh? Scotland's shame.

Sad reality of it, is the majority of people coming up here causing the problems aren't even Scottish...
They are burning Scottish flags, they surrounded a young girl of around 13 (in huge numbers, maby 50 of them) tearing her Scottish flag away from her as she sat on the ground clenching onto it, someone has been stabbed there, flares are being thrown, windows are being smashed, Nazi salutes etc.
And EVERYTHING that's been done criminal in the last 2 nights, is done by the "Better Together" supporters, there was a man stabbed at a polling station near Glasgow for wearing his Yes badge.
Disgrace.
Everyone for months referred to the Yes camp as "yobs" but the reality is there has been no violence from the yes, everything was peaceful demonstrations.

Away man, saying those religious-leaning influenced, bigoted knuckledraggers are typical of no voters is ridiculous. Living in the west of scotland, we both know what type of person those folk are; the same type of people that threatened me (to the point the cops had to escort me away for my safety) because I wore a green tshirt while walking my dog, on a day they decided to march through Glasgow.
Agrred, those people will have voted no, but dont try and insinuate those people are inidcative of no voters across scotland because you had such strong feelings for a yes vote.
And the Sunday Herald building never got attacked, the pub across the road from it had an electrical genny go on fire. Dont believe everything you read on social media. Likewise, there were absolutely no reports of anyone being stabbed, hthat rumour was started on twitter.
When I saw all the shit in Glasgow last night I wished for a yes vote, simply so all those fucking idiots would combust with rage.

Some people just want to go out and have a fight. They will pay lip service to a cause or an event but in reality the primary motive is to cause a load of trouble whatever the cost.
on a more humerous note.
Welcome to the Hotel California.........:-D

I'm not insinuating that all No voters are knuckle draggers... half of my family were no voters. I'm insinuating that those who were involved last night are knuckle draggers, as any sensible dignified person wouldn't be anywhere near them!

I can imagine there are a lot of 60+ people who voted no, and never once took part in a poll!

Everyone under the age of 55 voted a majority Yes. apparently
So, if nationalism keeps up in 20 years a yes vote would be easy. Shit, even in 10 years lol
Not sure, 45% is good news for the SNP. It would only really be SNP and Green party voters to make that number up.

I thought this was the generations chance, there wont be a vote in ten years.
Anyway, by then the scots will have more powers and everywhere will be out of a recession and all will be happy again.

That's where you are wrong Kev
The only person bound by that agreement was Alex Salmond. Why do you think he has stepped down as party leader?
The SNP has doubled its membership in the last 3 days to almost 40,000 (might not sound like much, but the conservative party had an estimated 40,000 members last year. From a possible 65,000,000 yet the SNP only have approx 6,000,000 people that could be members). This isn't going away

It'll die back down in about 3 months when something else happens in the world and people start to forget about it..
