black tops and silver tops
right i have a silver top westcoast. which out of the vtrs is the more bhp silver or black top?? and also can the black top be fitted to the silver topped car or are the black tops the 3 plug ecu and silvers the 1 plug?

silvertop is 3 plug and the more powerful engine!
blacktop is single plug and the less powerful engine!

but my VTR is a 2000 reg, has a silver top but ( so av been told ) only has 90bhp? anyone care to shed some light?

mate am just gonna say it before everyone else does. ( STICK A VTS ENGINE IN ) but mate, i like people who are sifferent, put a V|TR engine in, there good, i dont like people who just follow a crowd, and go with what people tell you to and what everyone else does.

here you go mate its in the f.a.q's ive copy'd and pasted it for you.

just match your engine bay to the photos.
some indicators are that the 98bhp vtr has :
- o2 sensor in top of the manifold
- the ecu on the left hand side has 3 plugs not 1
- the air filter box is square not round.
hope this has helped.

yeah exactly. like i said 98bhp modles have 3 plug ecu

can you not use the 98bhp engine then on the single plug loom and ecu or am i being stupid?
